Hi folks and welcome to our big adventure! We will be using this site to post all the goings on related to our adoption and travel over the next few months. You will need to create a log-in account with blogger to post comments on the site but please do, as it is free, simple and painless, and will not result in you being spammed or getting any additional ads for enlarging certain parts of your body (at least no more than you are already receiving daily). Having received Genevieve's initial photos and info, now we just have to sit tight and wait for CCAI to tell us what to do next and wait on our assigned appointments to sign all the legal documents in Nanchang, China. I am sure I will comprehend all of these official declarations with the confidence of a chimp with a roadmap. We are with a travel group (1248) and will all march off together as a platoon of adoptive parents to bewilder the Chinese nation. As of today we have received our travel packets and have a lot of reading to do. We have purchased our Learn Mandarin Chinese Language book and should be fluent by the end of October, or at least be able to recite certain phrases at high decibel levels to the locals.
Stay tuned, its bound to be entertaining. Few sane people would attempt this with a five year old in tow and plane flights longer than seven back to back episodes of The Sound of Music.
But.....isn't she cute!

Hi. I am another mother with a chinese daughter. I cannot tell you how blessed you are going to be. Your daughter is beautiful and you have been given more information that I have ever gotten about my daughter. God speed as you travel and come home.
All the best,
Terry White
Very, very cute pictures! I recognize the walker and seat that Genevieve is sitting in from our pictures of Mei. I hope to be meeting y'all soon!

Wes, I'm just checking to see if I can leave you a message. Doris
Awesome! I'm glad you tipped me to to the location of your adoption blog. She looks gorgeous! I'd do it again, if I wasn't approaching decrepitude (still might... don't absolutely know... it's been purdy darn rewarding).
Now that I'm back, I have someone to root for. GO WAUGHS!
Tonight we went to a welcome home party on my street. Everyone followed our blog but never made comments. Interestingly they all mentioned how much they enjoy reading your comments!
Your daughter is such a cutie! The most fun thing will be finding out who she really is... The orphanage might tell you about her but she is that and so much more. Our orphanage told us Meredith didn't smile often. Well I can assure you she is a smiley baby who loves to kiss. Very affectionate.
I wish you all the excitement of learning to know Genevieve and to falling as hard for her as Todd feel for Meredith!
Brandi (Todd's wife)
What a great blog. Thank you for sharing your family with us!
Hi to the New Team!
Thanks Wes, for the wonderful emails and the blog spot. We printed off pictures from your first email for your Mom and she read your email too.
David and I are so happy and excited for you, Lynne and Andie. We can barely wait to meet our newest family member soon.
Hugs to everyone,
Kathy & David
